Axiom Awarded 8(a) STARS III GWAC

Axiom Consultants (“Axiom”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an 8(a) STARS III GWAC contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) during the most recent round of awards.

The Best-in-Class 8(a) STARS III GWAC is a small business set-aside contract that provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of vetted 8(a) industry partners.

Through STARS III, agencies can access award-winning 8(a) firms through an established contract vehicle, saving time and taxpayer money over open-market methods. The STARS III contract ceiling is $50 billion.

Commenting on the award round, Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Sonny Hashmi stated: “This represents another step forward for GSA’s long-term and ongoing commitment to support and provide mission-enabling modern IT solutions to federal agencies. Small businesses are the backbone of this nation’s economy. I’m proud of our partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to create and sustain growth opportunities for socioeconomically disadvantaged companies in the federal IT space.”

The primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for the Master Contract is designated as 541512, Computer Systems Design Services. Requirements that align with other IT services NAICS codes are within the scope of the STARS III GWAC that include, but are not limited to 541511, 541513, 541519 and 518210.

Commenting on the contract award, Axiom CEO Bhavana Rakesh stated, “We are honored to be an awardee on the 8(a) STARS III GWAC contract vehicle. Axiom Receives Key DCAA Determination

Findings validate Axiom’s accounting system meets standards for government contracts and awards.

Axiom today announced it has successfully met several key milestones that ensure its accounting systems meet necessary regulations and compliance for federal contracts. Through its successful completion of a Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) cost accounting system audit, Axiom has achieved compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements and has received the DCAA’s important determination that it has a compliant and approved Cost Accounting System.

The DCAA accounting system determination indicates that Axiom’s cost accounting system is adequate for accumulating and billing costs under federal government contracts and is suitable for the award of prospective federal cost type contracts.

Achieving a DCAA Compliant Cost Accounting System will enable Axiom to remain compliant with the myriad of U.S. federal government cost accounting standards that are incorporated into the FAR, while expanding and maintaining important government contracts. FAR requirements and DCAA determinations work to ensure accurate government contract accounting and help to protect agencies and taxpayers against federal contract accounting fraud.
